Black out – to become unconscious suddenly but for a short period

She blacks out when she sees blood.

 

cut down on - to reduce the size, amount or number of something

The doctor advised her to cut down on sugar and fat.

Come down with – to start to suffer from an illness, especially one that is not serious:

I think I'm coming down with flu.Come round - наступать

 

carry on - to continue doing something

He'll finish up dead if he carries on smoking like that!

 

give up – stop doing sth

She gave up eating fatty foods when she went on a diet.

 

get over - to begin to feel better after being unhappy or sick

It took her months to get over her illness.

Go down with (an illness) - to start to suffer from an infectious disease:

Half of Martha's class has gone down with flu.

 

keep on – to continue to do something, or to do something again and again

If they keep on eating that much, they will become obese.

 

put on weight - to become heavier

He’s put on a lot of weight since he stopped going to the gym.

work out – to exercise

I will finish work and work out.
